Company History
Formed in 1977 , the practice has always been in Fisher Street, close to the historic core of Carlisle, the Border City.
From our entrance you can see the castle and hear the bells of the cathedral. Tullie House Museum is two minutes' walk away.
We began in a rented room above an antique shop at 19 Fisher Street, opposite the Cumberland Building Society. Later we bought 3 Fisher Street which was then the last private house in the street. It's a pleasant, airy, mid-Victorian townhouse from which we have never wished to move.
Since Andrew Grainger's retirement in 1990 Richard has continued to develop the firm as an approachable, forward-looking practice interested in forming helpful, long-term relationships with our clients, wherever they are.
